Cancellation, Rescheduling & No Show Policy

We know that sometimes unforeseeable circumstances arise which can make you either late or unable to attend a session. If this is to happen, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible.

However, we also hope you understand that unfortunately last minute cancellations, rescheduling of sessions and no-show’s can have a massive impact not only on our workshop but also our freelance tutors. This policy is in place so that we can protect our tutors’ livelihoods and ensure that they will still receive some payment for a missed teaching opportunity.

 

WHAT IF DCW CANCELS OR RESCHEDULES?

If Dundee Ceramics Workshop cancels or reschedules a full session/class that you’re booked into we will let you know as soon as possible (3 days for class blocks/day courses) and either book you into another class or refund you in full.

If we have to reschedule one session out of a class block, we’ll try our best to accommodate you and book you in for another session at a time that works for you. This can mean joining another class block of the same class, or a different one depending on what stage you’re at with your work.

 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY
We will issue a full refund until 7 days before the workshop is due to start. For anyone canceling 7 days or less before the workshop is due to start we will issue a 50% refund, and for anyone canceling 72 hours (3 days) or less before the class is due to start we will not issue a refund. 

Exceptions: if someone tests positive for Covid or is asked to self isolate within the restricted cancellation period, they will receive a full refund, if evidence can be provided.

 

RESCHEDULING POLICY
If you’d like to reschedule your session, you must do so no later than 4 days before the session date. You can reschedule your session once before it will be canceled by us with no refund. If you’d like to reschedule less than 4 days before your session you’ll incur a £40 fee (£32 tutor fee and an £8 admin fee) on top of your original session cost.

 

LATE ARRIVAL
If you arrive under 30 minutes late to your session, your session will end at the original agreed time and will not be extended to compensate for lost time. 

If you’re over 30 minutes late to your session we will not issue you a refund or reschedule your session. If you’d still like to book a session, you’ll need to rebook and pay for another session. 

 

NO SHOW
If you don’t show up to your session or class within 30 minutes we will not issue you a refund or reschedule your session.
